The units are designed to provide vacuum air for moving material (normally waste products) into vacuum skips. The equipment is configured such that the vacuum unit creates a constant vacuum in a waste skip, with waste then pulled into the skip via a flexible hose.
Three vacuum units have recently been on rental to Hydraulic Services Ltd in Canada to provide waste clean-up during offshore platform blasting and coating operations off the coast of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
