• Abrasive Wheels

    This part-day course is designed to impart the knowledge to change abrasive wheels correctly, be fully aware of all safety aspects, maintenance and general operational requirements.

    This course is intended for workshop personnel who have had little formal safety training with respect to abrasive wheels. It is also available to experienced workshop personnel whose abrasive wheel training may require updating to current regulations.

  • BFPA Foundation Course in Working safely with Hydraulic Hoses and Connectors

    This BFPA accredited and certified course is aimed at personnel who are involved in manufacturing and installation of Hydraulic Hose Assemblies and Connectors.

    This course consists of classroom - training period, followed by a practical session on the manufacture of a range of hose assemblies and pressure testing procedures.

  • BFPA Hose Assembly Skills Training Programme

    This BFPA accredited and certified course is aimed at personnel who have already completed the Foundation Course. The course aims to train the skills needed to prepare and make hoses which are fit for purpose and all information within the course is regularly updated.

  • Coned and Threaded Styled Tubing

    Provides candidates with an appreciation of medium and high pressure coned and threaded styled connections i.e. Autoclave, Butec, HIP etc.

    Please note that the demonstration and practice will be conducted using the I.P.T product range.

  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

    This course is intended to give the user an overview and awareness of hazardous substances. This course looks at the controls in place, the PPE guidelines, the employee's and employer's responsibilities and other relative topics.

    The duration of the course is 25 minutes

  • COSHH Awareness

    This course is intended for anyone who requires a working understanding of COSHH Regulation 1994 and the practical application of these in the workplace.

    It is aimed at workshop or deck personnel who in their general duties may be required to handle dangerous substances but are not responsible for completing Risk Assessments.

  • Drops Awareness and Prevention

    A dropped object is defined as 'any object that falls from its previous static position under its own weight'. If an object falls, the force of gravity will pull it towards the ground and if you happen to be in the way you'll be hit; it's as simple as that.

    The degree to which you might get injured will be influenced by many factors, but the simple rule of thumb is, the heavier or the further an object can fall, the more damage and injury it can cause. This course will help you identify potential dropped objects, and look at ways to reduce the risk of harm.

    The duration of the course is 30 minutes.

  • ECITB MJI 10, 18, 19

    ECITB Accredited Mechanical Joint Integrity Training

    Delegates will be trained in all aspects of disassembly, inspection, assembly and tightening of bolted connections.

    This includes ANSI, API, Compact (SPO) and 4 bolt clamp connectors.

    Delegates will receive in depth training in the correct and safe use of hand/ hydraulic torque wrenches and hydraulic bolt tensioning equipment.

    As well as training Enermech also offer the ECITB's technical testing program to ensure workforce competence.

    The ECITB accredited Small Bore Tubing courses are aimed at those working with twin ferrule compression fittings as well as coned and threaded connections.  In addition to providing the initials SBT training courses, EnerMech also offers the ECITB SBT Technical Tests.

  • Gantry Crane Operator Training or Assessment

    There are two levels for this training. The one day course is intended as an assessment of competence for an existing gantry crane operator. The two day course is intended for novice operators with little or no experience in using gantry cranes.

    Operators will be trained or assessed in the safe use of a gantry cranes and associated lifting accessories.

  • Generic Twin Ferrule Compression Fittings Safety at Work

    This half - day training programme has been developed to meet the needs of Instrument Fitters, Instrument Technicians and Maintenance Personnel.

    The course will provide candidates with valuable knowledge of joint make - up procedures for various manufacturers compression fittings.

  • Hydraulic Hose Assembly and Inspection

    The course consists of classroom-training period, followed by a practical session on hose assembly. The course is aimed at technicians who are involved in making Hydraulic Hose Assemblies.

    The Assembly Procedures form part of our In-House Training Programme and are in accordance with the recommendations of The British Fluid Power Association.

  • IRATA Rope Access Training (Level 1)

    The aim of this entry level rope access course is to provide candidates with the ability to perform a specified range of rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA level three safety supervisor

  • IRATA Rope Access Training (Level 2)

    The aim of this course is to provide existing level one candidates with the skills and knowledge required to rig working ropes, undertake rescues from a variety of situations and assemble and implement hauling systems under the supervision of an IRATA level three rope access safety supervisor

  • IRATA Rope Access Training (Level 3)

    This course is for level two candidates with a minimum of twelve months varied experience and 1000 logged, working level two hours in their log book.

  • IRATA Training (Revalidations and Refreshers)

    All IRATA certification is valid for three years from the date of assessment and revalidations can be done six months prior to expiry of existing qualification without losing any time on said qualification.

    If rope access Technicians are not using rope access techniques regularly, they should be evaluated for competence prior to the commencement of operational duties.

  • Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)

    LOLER, or the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations, are the rules governing the use of lifting equipment and the processes of planning and executing a lift safely. The aim of these regulations is to reduce the risks to people's health and safety from lifting equipment provided for use at work.

    The duration of the course is 30 minutes

  • LOLER Awareness

    LOLER is the prime source of information and guidance with respect to legislation concerning onshore and offshore lifting operations and lifting equipment.

    Course is targeted at Mechanics/Technicians or Supervisory/Foreman level personnel who are required to plan lifting operations, organise the administration of lifting operations, and/or set up/complete lifting equipment records.

  • LOLER Competent Person

    This course is intended for personnel appointed as an organisation's LOLER Competent Person. The LOLER Competent Person plans or approves all lifting operations in the workplace and ensures lifting operations comply with LOLER regulations and company procedures. The course provides an assessment of the LOLER Competent Person's competence.

  • LOLER Supervisor

    This course is designed to give Installation Supervisory level personnel in-depth coverage of LOLER 98 Regulations and requirements in order that they might set up controls and systems to implement LOLER requirements.

  • Manual Handling

    We can define manual handling as 'the transportation or supporting of a load by hand or by bodily force'. Surprisingly, it is not dramatic accidents that cause most lost time incidents on and offshore, but strains and sprains caused by relatively straightforward activities. 20% of all offshore accidents and injuries are a result of manual handling activities, making them a major source of lost time. This course will provide you with some national statistics about manual handling, show you what can happen if you don't perform it correctly, and give you some constructive advice to help you with manual handling activities in the workplace.

    The duration of the course is 35 minutes.

  • Manual Handling Training Programme

    This course is aimed at personnel who are required to carry out manual handling activities as part of their regular duties. The course aims to enable personnel to assess their own work activities and contribute towards the development of safer methods and tasks.

  • Offshore Crane Operator 2 Yearly Reassessment

    The purpose of this course is to re-assess the competence of existing stage 2 or stage 3 offshore crane operators to meet the recommendations of BS7121 Part 11.

  • Onshore Crane Operators Course

    Intended for trainee operators of mobile cranes and crane mechanics/technicians that service onshore cranes. The course is intended as a preparation for assessment and licensing, and is designed to impart the necessary skills to give relatively inexperienced crane operators the knowledge and competence to operate a mobile crane.

  • OPITO Banksman & Slinger Training (Stage 1 & 2)

    The aims & objectives of Stage 1 is to provide personnel, who have little or no experience of the Banksman & Slinger role, with the basic knowledge of activities associated with the combined roles, & the safety & regulatory requirements of those activities.

    Initial training program allows the delegate to demonstrate basic Banksman & Slinger practical skills following instruction & demonstration by the training staff. This training programme aims to prepare the delegates for the next stage of the progression path to become a competent Banksman & Slinger i.e Stage 2: Supervised Workplace Experience.

  • OPITO Banksman Slinger Competence (Stage 3 & 4)

    The Stage 3 & 4 Assessment is comprised of two parts, Knowledge & Practical Assessment. Successful candidates that fully meet the knowledge and practical standard will then be deemed competent to undertake bankman & slinger operations in the workplace.

    This course is intended to give an overview of PPE within common industry. Topics covered in the course include the health and safety regulations, selecting the correct PPE for the job and how to check your PPE prior to use.

  • Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)

    PUWER, or Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, is a course designed to give students a good understanding of the regulations governing any and all types of machinery and tools that they may encounter in their workplace.

    The duration of the course is 25 minutes.

  • PUWER Awareness

    This course is intended for personnel directly responsible for the provision, use and administration of work equipment. The course content can be varied to concentrate on the aspects of PUWER 98 (amended 2002) that most interest or apply to the client.

  • Reach Truck Operator

    The reach truck operator course aims to provide novice, semi-skilled or competence assessment of existing operators. There are two levels for this training. The one day course is intended as an assessment of competence for existing reach truck operators who hold valid certification. It is also suitable for operators holding a valid certificate to upgrade to a heavier lifting capacity forklift. The three day course is intended for novice operators with little or no experience.

  • Rigging Loft Management (Lifting Gear Inspection)

    This course is aimed at personnel responsible for the issuing and control of lifting equipment from a Rigging Loft onboard an offshore installation, or a shore based workplace. There is an initial test paper to demonstrate inherent level of knowledge on the subject. The course also culminates in a short test paper on lifting equipment inspection.

  • Risk Assessment

    A risk assessment is a careful examination of your workplace to identify what may cause harm to you and those around you. It allows employers to see if they have taken suitable precautions, or should do more to prevent harm. Accidents and ill health can ruin lives and affect businesses if output is lost, machinery is damaged or insurance costs increase. Employers are legally required to assess the risks in their workplace, so a plan must be put in place to control these risks. This course will show you how to carry out a risk assessment and help you to identify hazards and reduce the risk of accidents happening.

  • Slips, Trips and Falls

    Slips and trips are the most common cause of major injuries at work. Stop to think about what may happen to you if you suffered a fall because of a slip or trip. Who could be affected? It may not be as simple as you first imagined. This awareness course is aimed at anybody in a working environment. It covers: the real cost of slips, trips and falls, who is affected, what the main causes are, how to prevent slips, trips and falls, and what your, and your employers responsibilities in the workplace are.

    The duration of the course is 30 minutes.

  • Stage 1 Offshore Crane Operator

    Stage 1 forms the theoretical basis for offshore crane operations and is aimed at novice crane operators or those operators who require the industry accepted qualification. Stage 2 should follow as soon as possible after stage 1 and is conducted at the trainee’s normal offshore installation.

  • Stage 2 Offshore Crane Operator

    Stage 2 training should follow as soon as is practicable after Stage 1 training. This training aims to give the Trainee Crane Operator hands-on training in the offshore crane that he will be expected to operate.

    On completion of stage 2 the Trainee or Assistant Crane Operator will be restricted to deck work, under supervision of the Installation Crane Operator. If appropriate, and when deemed competent to progress to vessel work (usually after approx 40 hours deck work) the Operator will be reassessed and may then progress to supervised vessel work.

  • Stage 3 Offshore Crane Operator

    The stage 3 assessment progression is designed as an evaluation of the candidates' skill as a crane operator, usually after completing 40 hours of crane operations. The assessment evaluates the competencies of the candidate operating the crane, as per stage 2, but also concentrates on the planning and understanding of the lifting process.

  • Thread Awareness Course

    This very popular course provides candidates with an appreciation of fitting and adaptor selection to meet agreed specifications, enabling a more authoritative approach to be made when selecting items to match correct pressures, fluid, main component ports, prevent damage and be aware of health and safety implications. To provide a better understanding to those involved in the commissioning and maintenance of such items.

  • Work at Height (PFPE/Personal Fall Protection Equipment User)

    The aim of this course is to provide individuals with the skills to carry out work at height using personal fall protection equipment such as full body harnesses, energy absorbing lanyards, work positioning lanyards and mobile fall arresters. The course will involve classroom and practical elements.

  • Working at Height Awareness

    This Working at Height course is designed to give the learner an awareness of what working at height is, the hazards associated with working at height and the various methods of access, including MEWPS, scaffolding and ladders. Other subjects covered include personal restraint systems and risk assessment.  Course duration is 30-40 minutes.
