eMERge

eMERge

eMERge is a ground breaking alliance between GE Oil & Gas, EnerMech and PDi and was established with the single intent to work alongside oil and gas operators to maximise economic recovery of their existing asset base and extend operating life through introduction of new ways of working, digital technologies and unlocking additional production opportunities.

Our objectives mirror that of the UK Oil & Gas Authority’s Maximising Economic Recovery (MER) initiative and are achieved by leveraging a combination of new digital technologies, advanced engineering capabilities and innovative financing and business models to offer an entirely new way of working that will revolutionise the way offshore facilities are managed.

Our Partnership approach is underpinned by a range of innovative commercial models and outcome based solutions that offer a differentiated range of integrated production, operations and maintenance optimisation support services across the hydrocarbon value chain (from Helideck to Landfall, subsea to topside equipment, and processing).

This utilises GE’s state-of the-art digital technologies, including Predix - the world’s first and only operating system built exclusively for industry – which will help operators drive transformational business and financial performance by closing the gap between their operational assets and the data they generate, and Upstream APM, a purpose built enterprise software suite that is being developed to deliver a step-change in upstream productivity across reservoir, well, network, facilities (topside and subsea) and people.

These are advanced software solutions that provide operators with tools to monitor and optimize the performance of their assets, predict problems that
would impact production and enable proactive (as opposed to reactive) intervention to reduce production outages and system downtime, products, services and financing capabilities. This is combined with PDi’s project management and engineering expertise, and EnerMech’s installation, commissioning, maintenance and operational capabilities to create an innovative suite of services which will support your asset in a differentiated manner.

This collaborative approach is fundamental to eMERge; truly integrated working with shared outcomes and clearly identified success criteria which benefits all parties, including current and future sub- contractors. This approach challenges the conventional contracting and operating practices in the UKCS through sharing accountability and deliverability.
