Innovative Subsea Technologies

EnerMech Dewatering Fleet

Our dewatering fleet consists of a broad range of primary compressors, booster compressors and nitrogen membrane units.  We have access to over 100 air compressors, Air boosters, super boosters as well as driers and nitrogen membranes and all associated ancillary resources.

Our in-house designed fleet has a 33% smaller footprint than standard technology which allows for the use of considerably smaller vessels and allows generous space between units allowing for 150% more airflow).  We have a 16-25% proven improvement in N2 delivery and our system can operate to dead-head pressure of 5,400psi on continuous duty.

Our modern fleet is renowned for achieving cost savings with over $16,250 per day fuel and vessel savings alone.

Remote Flooding Console (RFC)

EnerMech’s inhouse designed and built Remote Flooding Console is designed to improve the efficiency and reduce cost of subsea pipeline flooding operations.  This proven technology can test down to 3000m plus water depth, is smaller and lighter than its competition and uses latest technologies and products that have been developed with the benefit of our extensive knowledge and experience.  In addition to requiring a smaller crew, the large reduction in deck space required means smaller vessels can be used saving our customers significant cost.

The RFC meets all flooding and pigging specifications, is very ROV friendly and does not require a down-line from the vessel which means the vessel can leave and relocate to other tasks while the flooding operation is ongoing.

RFC Lite

The RFC Lite units were built to provide the same benefits and cost savings as the RFC but without full sophisticated instrumentation and boost pumping packages.  The RFC Lite is particularly useful during pipe lay to add immediate weight and stability thus reducing wall thickness or weight coating, saving lay vessel time and material costs.

RFC Lites still allow full filtration and chemical additions and can replace basic raw sea water flooding during lay.  The vessel works on reduced crew levels, requiring only one or two personnel dependent on the operation.

Subsea Test Pump

EnerMech’s Subsea Test Pump is a Subsea hydro test system used to pressurise subsea pipelines remotely.  The STP uses ROV hydraulic power to run the on-board pump, via a we mateable subsea stab and can be used for performing pipeline hydro or leak testing without the use of downlines.

Multiple tests can be recorded via on-board instrumentation and test data can be recovered via an optical link through the ROV umbilical.

Tests can be depressurised subsea without the need for downline connection, which frees up the vessel for other operations during hold period and depressurisation.

Subsea Test Manifold & Optical Link

EnerMech’s Subsea Test Manifold and Optical Link is capable of continuous logging and providing real time data and historical data upload to a nearby ROV without hard connection.  The optical link saves on vessel time as there is no need to retrieve the manifold during operations.  This allows the vessel to have a pipeline on test while it completes other operations in the field as there is no need to have a down line attached.

Pressurisation downline (if used) can be disconnected at any time during operations (i.e. bad weather, unplanned urgent tasks) without depressurising the pipeline.

Tardis

The Tardis is a self powered subsea pumping system which can work to depths of 3000m and hydrostatic test pressures up to 1500 Bar.  This can be used along with a centrifugal pump and RFC chemical system to deliver real time temperature, pressure, and pump stroke data.

Extreme Temperature Gels and Novel Chemistry

Gels are commonly used to pre-deployment pack spools, jumpers, manifolds etc. to prevent sea water ingress when tied in subsea.  This solution is less practical where there are extremes of temperature between topsides and subsea.

EnerMech (along with Aubin) has developed an ETG (Extreme Temperature Gel) system that can be used with water or glycols, does not shrink (or slump under own weight) when going from high ambient temperatures topsides (up to 75 C) to cold subsea environment (down to 4C) and can be fully discharged subsea as biodegradable.

EnerMech can provide a variety of green hydroscopic conditioning and hydrotest water chemicals to meet many challenging discharge regulation.

Snap Ring Joints

At EnerMech we collaborate with approved organisations to ensure our clients’ receive innovative solutions and the best possible service . One such agreement is with Snap Ring Joint (SRJ), a solutions specialist in providing weld-free mechanical coupling products.

Snap Ring Joint is a Jersey-based engineering company, built on a solid body of experience in fittings manufacture and problem-solving expertise. Its UK-based R&D team boasts over fifty years of experience in specialist fittings. Over the last four years, it has developed and tested a range of ground-breaking pipeline coupling technologies.

SRJ couplings are suitable as a direct replacement for standard flange type or welded connections to critical and non-critical piping connections and offer the practical benefits of a non-welded and ‘hot-work free’ connection without compromising connection integrity.

Working together, EnerMech and SRJ can provide you with an innovative and cost effective solution to tackle maintenance and modifications of hydrocarbon and utility pipework.

We both guarantee that our well-established pipe connection and repair solutions will maintain robust mechanical connections even in extensive size and pressure range.
Our products have sealing mechanisms provided by a double seal, and in the case of the integrity connector, a quad seal arrangement.

The connector is also available in an asymmetrical version, which simplifies maintenance and the removal of valves and pumps. A reducer configuration is also available.
