EnerMech Boosts Leadership Team in America

EnerMech is continuing to bolster its management team with the appointment of Chris Bennett as Strategic Sales Director, based in Houston but with a western hemisphere remit.

Aberdeen-headquartered EnerMech is a global provider of integrated services and employs 3500 staff across 40 locations working on large-scale projects across the oil and gas, LNG, renewables, defence, power, infrastructure and petrochemicals sectors.

Chris Bennett’s detailed remit is to leverage EnerMech’s integrated services offering capability to secure opportunities on multi-million-dollar long term and larger scale projects as part of the Company’s expansion drive.

Chris has more than 35 years’ experience in the delivery of integrated services across the oil and gas sector and for the last 10 years has been based in Nigeria and Oman, where he held the position of Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer respectively within oil and gas service companies.

He has a strong record of accomplishment in, developing, winning and successfully executing integrated contracts within more complex risk based commercial arrangements, including working within consortia and joint ventures.

Based in Houston, and working closely with new EnerMech Chief Executive Officer, Christian Brown as well as the key Regional Directors, he will support the company’s western hemisphere businesses to achieve sustainable growth in some of the world’s largest energy hubs.

EnerMech CEO, Christian Brown, said: “Chris’s high level international experience aligns with our ambition to firmly establish EnerMech as a strategic partner to global operators who are engaged on longer-term and higher value work scopes.

“Our wide geographic footprint gives us the ability to provide a professional integrated services offering anywhere in the world and Chris will promote our facilities, engineering expertise and varied skill set to both existing and new Asset Owners and Tier 1 clients.”

Chris Bennett added: “We see a lot of opportunity for integrating EnerMech’s range of services, particularly in less mature supply chains such as Latin America, Africa and the more remote parts of the US and Canada and that is where I will be focussing my attention.

“Our reputation for being safe and innovative and for adding value on the projects we participate in is well established, but now EnerMech is ready to step up a gear and to play a part in more complex workscopes. This will come from a mix of leveraging our existing services portfolio and looking at potential collaboration and joint ventures with like-minded businesses to the benefit all parties.”

EnerMech recently appointed John Grover as Strategic Sales Director for the Middle, East, Caspian and Asia Pacific regions focusing on similar opportunities in the eastern hemisphere, tapping in to 30 years’ experience in the upstream, process and pipeline sectors.
