Chris, aged 20, completed his PEO and NC, he is now working towards his HNC with Banff & Buchan College, works at EnerMech full time and has commenced his SVQ Level 3, previous placements include Valves, PPU and Cranes Workshop. Chris is currently working in Hydraulic Engineering.
In Chris's words:
“I enjoy learning new things every day, the travelling to an from work is what I least enjoy, as I live in Fraserburgh. In future, I would like to go offshore, or become an engineer in the office.
So far my favourite workshop has been cranes, because I learned a lot of important things in the workshop about how cranes work also the co workers are very helpful and easy to get along with.
At college, my favourite module is CAD because I like learning how to draw to exact sizes by scale drawing and learning how to understand drawings.
My tip for future apprentices would be to be confident and also be willing to work very hard and get along with others”.
