Chief Business Development Officer Behzad Kazerani joined EnerMech in early 2020.
With over 25 years’ experience in the global oil and gas industry Behzad has extensive experience working across the downstream, upstream, midstream and LNG sectors.
His expertise covers engineering and design, business development, opportunity pursuit, partnership agreements and commercial models working in senior positions with business such as KBR, Petrofac, IHI and most recently with Houston-based Halff Tritex.
President of Americas Region Joe Lichon has more than 25 years of operational and sales leadership experience in oil and gas projects offshore and onshore USA, Latin America, Asia, Middle East, Asia, Africa, Papua New Guinea and on major Australian LNG projects including Gorgon and INPEX.
Joe’s extensive energy industry experience has positioned him perfectly for leading our Americas region with a focus on expanding EnerMech’s position as the market leader in offshore pipeline pre-commissioning in deep-water Gulf of Mexico while growing the company’s Industrial Services, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, and other business lines both on and offshore.

Regional Director for Africa Phil Louw was appointed as Regional Director in 2019 having previously had the role of Regional Financial Controller for EnerMech since 2016.
He has showcased his leadership skills in EnerMech and has extensive experience of working across sub-Saharan Africa having spent five years in Nigeria and four years in Angola with Maersk Drilling and SBM Offshore.
Regional Director for Australasia Paul McCarthy has over 30 years of experience in corporate leadership and operational management roles in the energy, resources, defence and infrastructure sectors. With significant global experience, Paul’s most recent role was Asia Pac Operations and Maintenance Director for a global engineering and services company.
His cross sector background positions him perfectly to extend our footprint in Australia’s fast expanding infrastructure sector while strengthening the business’s operations in LNG and traditional oil and gas industries.
Group HSE Director Emmanuelle Marshall has over 25 years in the industry and brings a wealth of experience in HSE, learning and development and operations to EnerMech.
Previously with Schlumberger for 18 years and then HSE Manager for BP, she held senior roles and developed and led Global HSE Learning and Development strategies.
Emmanuelle is responsible for global health, safety and environment at EnerMech. She works closely with our HSE teams across our regions to maintain our focus on the health and safety of our workforce, improve on our safety practices and to ensure consistency across the group.
Regional Director Europe Ross McHardy joined EnerMech in mid-2018 to lead the drive and expansion of our European operations. Prior to joining EnerMech Ross was part of the UK senior management team of a Middle Eastern headquartered Operator.
Ross brings significant experience in projects, operations, engineering, commercial management, business improvement and decommissioning and joins our team as we seek to expand our European operations into both established and new markets.
MEC Regional Director Steve Jones commenced his career in the Oil and Gas Industry in 1998 with PSL Group, and from 2003 with PSL Energy Services, as a Project Engineer leading site operations in the UK, continental Europe, and the Middle East and Caspian, eventually relocating to Dubai in 2006 as Middle East Operations Manager.
Following the acquisition of PSL Energy Services, in 2007, Steve relocated to Singapore as Halliburton’s Regional Operations Manager for Pipeline and Process Services.
Steve joined EnerMech in 2010 in Singapore as General Manager for the Asia region. In July 2017, he relocated from Asia to Baku, Azerbaijan to assume the role of General Manager - Caspian. In early 2018, Steve was promoted to his current position as MEC Regional Director.
He is a graduate of the EnerMech Project Management Development program in conjunction with Robert Gordon University Aberdeen and went on to graduate from RGU with a BA (Hons) in Business Management in December 2017.
Technical Director Colin Smith has over 35 years’ industry experience in Senior Technical, Engineering, Project and Senior Management Positions, working for both operators and contractors.
A chartered engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, Colin is a recognised Electrical and Instrument Technical Authority and is responsible for the growth, competence, assurance and integrity of our Electrical and Instrumentation division globally. Colin has a wealth of asset management experience having held asset management roles for many years. Prior to joining EnerMech, Colin was an Engineering Consultant and Project Manager at an international energy company.
