EnerMech Water Weights

EnerMech Water Weights (Pty) Ltd, based in Cape Town, South Africa, has a 30 year history of offering a safe, economic, viable alternative to load testing lifting equipment.

Water Weights water filled proof load bags are a unique and simple product specifically designed to provide a test load instead of using traditional solid weights for all forms of load testing.

The benefits of using Water Weights bags are as follows:

Lighter than standard sold weights resulting in easier handling.
Bags are fully rigged and ready to hang and fill.
Controlled filling and emptying is simple.
The load is measured accurately with a certified flowmeter and or loadcell.
Ability to perform non-destructive load testing (not possible with solid weights)

EnerMech Water Weights has the exclusive licence to use and hire out the patented Water Weights load testing water bags in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape provinces of South Africa and Namibia, and a non-exclusive licence for the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Certification

Water Weights water bags are certified in accordance with Health and Safety Executive and American Bureau of Shipping requirements as well as being approved by the American Bureau of Shipping and the U.K. Department of Trade and Industry. The bags have been specifically designed and physically proof load tested to verify their operational integrity - physically proven factor of safety in excess of the equivalent of 6:1 and are proof load tested to over 2:1 prior to being taken into service.

Legislated by the Department of Labour through the O.H.S Act - Driven Machinery Regulation 18 - Lifting Machines & Lifting Tackle with particular reference to sub-section 5.

Its simple, lightweight design has quick action and is ideal for all field and shop fit-up use. The Ultra Clamp covers a wide range of pipe sizes that would normally take four separate tools.

Dearman Clamps

Pipe Alignment and Reforming Clamp
The Rim Clamps are available for various sizes of pipes or shells. The clamp will reform pipes or shells to schedule 80 with an out-of-round condition up to 2" (51mm). Exact positioning of the clamp on the pipe is not necessary, as the Jackscrews pivoting pads to handle uneven surfaces. Ideal for applications that require 100% weld and grind without releasing clamping pressure to prohibit cracking of partially completed welds. All surfaces of the Clamp that contact the pipe are made of stainless steel.

Ridgid 1224 Threader
The Ridgid 1224 threader is an electric motor driven machine suitable for pipe, conduit and rods. It rotates while threading, cutting and reaming operations are performed. The on/off and forward/reverse switch allows the machine to rotate in left/right hand directions. It is operated by a foot pedal switch allowing increased operator safety. Using various die heads this unit can be capable of up to 4" npt/bspt.

Ridgid 1233 Threader
The Ridgid 1233 threader is an electric motor driven machine suitable for pipe, conduit and rods. The head rotates while threading, cutting and reaming operations are performed. The on/off and forward/reverse switch allows the machine to rotate in left/right hand directions. It is operated by a foot pedal switch allowing increased operator safety. A 3" capability can be gained using 928 die head.
