At EnerMech we can provide a range of specialist process services supporting pre-commissioning, commissioning and shut-down services, to our global customer-base. These can be provided as niche individual services or under a fully integrated contract managed by our experienced project managers.
Our multi-skilled, flexible and safety conscious personnel are customer goal-driven to ensure the safe delivery of objectives – on time. Our strong in-house engineering and project management capability sets us out from our key competitors and allows us to provide effective solutions to our customers’ problems.
We have one of the largest and newest fleets of modern equipment in the industry, supported by state of the art project management and IT systems to ensure our customers receive a reliable and efficient service, which is able to react to the ever-changing environment in which we work.
Our bespoke, fully integrated, web based management system (SIM) provides both flange management and an electronic work pack creator for hydrotesting, nitrogen/helium leak testing, pipework cleanliness and camera inspection.
SIM has been developed to provide better quality information that is easier to access than other systems currently available. The system is capable of electronically generating work packs significantly more quickly with a much higher accuracy than any competing system and can be automatically updated resulting in significant cost and time savings.
EnerMech's Pipelines Group offers solutions to our clients' individual needs. Our personnel track record of innovation and aligned thinking offers an unrivalled opportunity to work together to remove risk and reduce time, cost and effort, whilst taking a proactive approach to engineering and looking beyond the project brief for solutions and risk mitigation.
With a high level of focus on Project Management EnerMech offers a full range of pre-commissioning services for pipeline installation and construction companies and Operators looking for reliability, safety and quality.
Our pre-commissioning capabilities include:
EnerMech's latest generation of remote flooding consoles utilise proven technology, developed at EnerMech by the original inventors of subsea flooding and testing equipment, to flood and test subsea pipelines down to 3000 metres plus water depth.
The RFC uses available seawater pressure outside the pipe as a source of power and water to flood and pig the lines whilst still meeting the desired filtration and chemical protection specifications. The unit filters, chemically doses, controls the flow and monitors flooding operations without the need for a vessel in attendance. The self-contained unit can be left for extended periods on the sea bed. Pressure testing is completed by using ROV power to drive the STP. This technique offers significant schedule and cost savings when compared with traditional vessel based techniques.
Features
EnerMech Live Online Hose Management System provides a reporting function to allow the information to be downloaded into an Excel spreadsheet, PDF format or client required format. The system can filter and sort hoses data to produce standardised or bespoke reports as required by the client.
This database has been designed and constructed in-house, using a brief developed by Hose Management to ensure the following:
EnerMech are also committed to ensuring that hose data is available and transferable to the client’s software applications where necessary. Our IT team have experience in working with clients to understand their needs to this respect (i.e. Cataloguing, SAP, Maximo, ERP systems etc) to help to ensure that their hose inventory can been made available in the appropriate format.
EnerMech has made every effort to ensure that this system, although robust, is both scalable and adaptable to new technologies, innovations and specialist requirements.
Ineffective Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHAs) are serious contributors to the loss of process containment. In many potentially dangerous areas, defects and failures can compromise safety and environmental performance and contribute to unplanned shutdowns.
EnerMech provide a reference framework of management, technical controls and procedures which, when applied, will ensure the continued integrity of FHAs. This includes supply of competent hose inspectors and fitters through to provision of a bespoke and robust online hose management system.
EnerMech's hose management service complies with and is fundamentally based on the Energy Institute's ‘Guidelines for the Management of Flexible Hose Assemblies’. In addition, these guidelines were reviewed and published by the Energy Institute in February 2011 and have been revised by a steering group which included three members of EnerMech's Hose Management team.
We have extended our processes, procedures and capabilities to this extent to ensure immediate compliance with this publication.
EnerMech can provide offshore ready 12ft x 10ft hose workshop containers and mobile flushing units to allow the manufacture, test and flushing of the majority of hoses onsite for larger repair activities.
EnerMech's fleet of hose workshop containers have been designed in-house to offer a compact, safe hose manufacturing capability that can be deployed in harsh environments.
Tooling and equipment are modular and can be changed out to suit the demands of the project.
These units have proved to be key during shutdown and planned maintenance activites, allowing for modifications and repairs to be done in situ. These units have been very popular and our fleet continues to expand.
“Inspection and repair alone are not sufficient to mitigate the risk of unplanned hose failure. Correctly identifying and addressing the actions arising from inspection data is fundamental to achieving FHA reliability.”
EnerMech has one of the largest specialist hose inspection teams in the UK.
Our inspectors have specific experience in conducting comprehensive hose inventory assessments, complete with recommendations for improving design and extending the useful life of the hoses.
We understand that the generation and maintenance of an accurate hose register underpins all subsequent activities. It is therefore key that those involved in its accuracy and currency are both competent and accountable for it.
